Tiffany Washington's passion for psychiatry began during her very first psychiatric clinical rotation in nursing school. It was there that she discovered the significant impact compassionate mental health care can have on a person's life, inspiring her to begin her nursing career in pediatric residential psychiatry as a registered nurse.
She later transitioned into primary care and urgent care to strengthen her medical skills and better understand the connection between physical and mental health. While caring for patients with chronic medical conditions, she saw how often depression, anxiety, trauma, and other psychiatric concerns went untreated. This inspired her to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner so she could care for both the medical and psychiatric needs of her patients and help those who may feel unheard or overlooked.
Tiffany earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Science in Nursing from Palm Beach Atlantic University, followed by a post-graduate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certificate from Wilkes University. She is board certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Throughout her career, Tiffany has cared for patients across the lifespan from pediatrics to geriatrics in a variety of healthcare settings throughout Florida. She is committed to providing evidence-based, compassionate, and individualized care that recognizes the connection between mental and physical health, helping patients improve their overall well-being and quality of life.
Tiffany proudly serves at Amber Behavioral Health, a place she considers home. She is passionate about helping individuals during some of the most difficult moments of their lives by creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where healing can begin. Her goal is to empower each client with the knowledge, coping skills, and resources needed to achieve lasting recovery and become the healthiest version of themselves.
Outside of work, Tiffany enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her French Bulldog, Bentley, who is her world. She also loves Spider-Man and Disney.
